BE PREPARED FOR A GREAT NEW YEAR
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:18
Happy New Year! I decided to approach the New Year much like I used to approach a new sewing project. First, I would clean up the mess from the last project. All of the left over scraps were thrown out, and the area dusted. Then it was time to make sure the rules, the pattern pieces, were carefully folded and put away and the tools I needed were in their proper places.
Rules I like having guidelines to follow. It makes me feel more secure somehow. Why not get this New Year started off on the right foot. Open your Bible, your guide to life. See what HIS instructions are for you. Life is difficult enough without making it more so. In the New Testament JESUS gives us just two rules to live by found in Matthew 22:37 as HE teaches us how we are to live CHRIST-like lives.
Tools This month you will read stores of HIS Rules and the tools I use to build my faith: prayer. I can’t think of a better way to make sure I am ready for a great New Year. I hope you will agree.
