Higher education Even in kindergarten, I can remember my mother saying, “When you go to college…” Yet as important as she felt a college degree was, she knew that no college professor or college textbook would be able to teach me the lessons I needed to succeed in life. She knew I would also need lessons in living a CHRIST-like life. She provided a year around education for me by taking me each Sunday-to-Sunday school and church for my Christian Education.
How to books An online bookstore search indicated the availability of over 32,000 different “How To” book titles. WOW! I am certainly glad my mother taught me that I don’t have to wade through 32,000 books to learn how to live a CHRIST-like life. The Bible is the ultimate source book, II Timothy 3:16-17. The Bible provides comfort, Psalm 46 and guidance, Proverbs 6:22-23. In HIS Word we find strength, Isaiah 40:31. And most importantly, The BIBLE is the only true source book on GOD’S plan of salvation, John 3:16-17. This Scripture found in the first chapter of James vs 22, “But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only” might sum up this month’s Lessons On Living A CHRIST-like life.
